ASSEMBLY
NOTE
: When mulching, do not install either the side
discharge deflector or the grass catcher bag.
INSTALLING SIDE DISCHARGE CHUTE
(For Side Discharging Operation)
See figure 5
•
Lift the side discharge cover (1).
•
Align the grooves (2) on the side discharge
deflector (3) with the pins (4) on the underside of
the discharge cover (1).
•
Lower the discharge chute until the hooks on the
mower deck are secured in the openings in the
discharge chute.
•
Release the side discharge cover.
NOTE
: When using side discharge, do not install the
the grass catcher. Ensure the mulch plug is
installed.
INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK
See figure 6
To Install Battery Pack
•
Lift and hold up the battery cover (1).
•
Align the battery (2) with the mower
’
s battery port.
•
Make sure the battery release button (3) snaps in
place and that battery is fully seated and secure in
the mower before beginning operation.
•
If the machine is not going to be used
immediately, remove the battery.
To Remove Battery Pack
•
Release the bail lever to stop the mower.
•
Press the battery release button (3) on the mower.
Open the battery cover.
•
Remove battery from the mower.
This product will accept Scotts 40V lithium
-
ion
battery packs only.

models.
WARNING
:
Always remove battery pack from your tool
when you are assembling parts, making adjustments,
cleaning, carrying, transporting or when not in use.
Removing battery pack will prevent accidental starting
that could cause serious personal injury.
NOTE:
To avoid serious personal injury, always remove
the battery pack and keep hands clear of the trigger
release button when carrying or transporting the tool.
WARNING
: Make sure the latch on the tool snaps in
place and the battery pack is fully seated and secure in
the battery port before beginning operation. Failure to
securely seat the battery pack could cause the battery
pack to fall out, resulting in serious personal injury.
SWITCH KEY
In order to prevent accidental start
-
up or unauthorized
use of your cordless mower, a removable switch key
has been incorporated into the design of your mower.
The mower will be completely disabled when the switch
key has been removed from the mower.
WARNING:
The cord on the switch key is used for
storage; keep it out of the reach of children. DO NOT
tether the switch key to mower.
DANGER:
Rotating blades can cause serious injury. To
prevent serious injury, remove the switch key when the
mower is unattended, or when adjusting, cleaning,
servicing, transporting, lifting, or storing the mower.
