Installation and Usage
Warning:
The Triple Link-SDL (Schwinn DuraLock) pedal is intended for use on indoor stationary cycles only. Do not use
on outdoor bicycles.
The pedals are not equipped with reflectors for proper visibility at night, and in certain positions the
pedal does not have adequate clearance to the ground.
Installation:
The Triple Link-SDL pedals can be used on any Schwinn bike equipped with cranks that have the non-threaded SDL
interface. The SDL interface became standard on the Schwinn AC Performance Plus and AC Sport bikes in April, 2015. If
your bike crank is not SDL compatible and you will need the threaded version of the Schwinn Triple Link pedal.
Tools Required:
1. 8mm hex key
2. 3mm hex key
3. Dead blow hammer
Step 1
Step 2
Turn the resistance knob clockwise to lock the
flywheel in place.
Insert the right pedal, into the right crank arm (determined from seated
position on bike) and use the deadblow hammer to secure it into place.
Note: The pedals are stampe
d “R” for right and “L” for left.
Step 3
Install the pedal bolt and use the 8mm hex
key to tighten. Torque spec is 47-57 Nm / 35-
40 ft-lbs
