ZHS10 product. Below you will find useful operating guidelines.
Product description
The Z-Wave 4 in 1 sensor is equipped with three different sensors:
Door/window sensor
PIR/motion sensor
Temperature
Light sensor
The multi-sensor combines 4 sensors in one device. It consists of a door/window
and a motion, temperature and light sensor. Thus the ZHS10 is perfect for se-
curity applications and other automation scenarios, such as light or temperature
control.
The product consists of two elements - a detector and a magnet - which are at-
tached by the magnet on the movable part of the window or door and the other
part on the frame.
Batteries
This device is operated with batteries. Use only batteries of the specified type.
Used batteries contain hazardous substances and must not be disposed of with
household waste!

Installation instructions
Open the casing by removing the front side of the casing. Insert the supplied
CR123A battery into the battery compartment and close the device. The sensor
consists of two parts, the main unit and a magnet. The main unit should be in-
stalled on the door and/or window frame and the magnet on the moving part of
the door and/or window. If the device is used as a motion detector, attach it to
a height of about 2 m on a wall. To ensure that the unit can be fully functional,
install the unit in a position that allows a wide range in the room. Attach the parts
of the unit with the screws or double-sided tape on a smooth surface.
Performance of the device in the Z-Wave network
When delivered, the device is not connected to any Z-Wave network. It must
be integrated into an existing Z-Wave network so that it can communicate with
other Z-Wave devices. This process is called Z-Wave inclusion. Devices can also
be removed from networks again. This process is called Z-Wave exclusion. Both
processes are started from a controller that must be switched to an inclusion and/
or exclusion mode. The manual of the controller contains information on how it is
to be switched into these modes. Devices can only be added when the controller
of the Z-Wave network is in inclusion mode. Leaving the network by exclusion will
reset this device to its factory defaults.
Operation of the device
The device can be used for security applications or for
home automation. The (1) door/window sensor and (2)
PIR/motion sensor can be integrated into alarm systems.
Alternatively, the two sensors can be connected to the light
sensor or the temperature sensor for home automation. A
possible scenario would be switching the lighting of a room
in the dark with a Z-Wave switch when the door opens, and
a person enters the room.
The temperature sensor can be used to control the indoor
climate in connection with the heating control system, or
trigger an alarm when large temperature fluctuations occur
due to frost or fire.
After the device is put into operation, it takes several min-
utes until it is fully operational and correctly detects mo-
tion. The multi-sensor is equipped with a safety switch that
triggers an alarm when the device is removed.

Logging in (inclusion) or logging out (exclusion) of the sensor
For confirmation of inclusion and exclusion the manipulation-proof safety
switch on the back of the device is pressed three times in quick succession
(within one second).
