Lubricating before commissioning the lathe chuck

 

Before commissioning, move the chuck into the open position.  

Using a high-pressure grease press, press SCHUNK special grease 

LINOMAX into the lubricating nipple every 3 strokes. For optimal 

grease distribution and to achieve the maximum clamping force, 

close and open the chuck multiple times over the entire clamping 

stroke. Check the clamping force and if necessary repeat the  

lubrication procedure. 

At regular intervals, check that the retainer ring is seated firmly.
