• For size 200:
only use NS 120 T-nuts (Id-No.: 0140101).
From size 250:
only use NS 160 T-nuts (Id-No.: 0140102).
• The operating temperature must be b 10° C and
+ 60° C.
• The quick-change jaw system must not be used in corrosive
media.
• The locking screws must be closed when machining in rotation
to ensure that the interchangeable insert is securely mounted.
(The locking screw must be tightened with 4 to max. 7 Nm.)
With large numbers of clamping cycles or frequent actuation of
the locking screw, the contact surface of the locking screw may
become worn. This may result in the locking screw turning
through to the back stop. In this case, the locking screw no
longer has the required holding torque and must be replaced.
• The maximum clamping range is limited by the positions of the
T-nuts. All T-nuts must be
completely
inside the base jaw's
serration groove.
• When the clamping stages are turned in soft clamping inserts,
do not damage the base jaw and the screw heads and do not
turn them together with the inserts.
• Always use both fixing bores with the mounting screws
provided. (Note the specified tightening torque for screws
and T-nuts.)
• When mounting the chuck jaws, ensure there is sufficient
clamping reserve (residual stroke of lathe chuck).
Requirements for interchangeable inserts
Do not use damaged, manipulated, reworked or dirty clamping
inserts.
After a crash or collision, always check for cracks before reuse!
In the event of damage to the guide and/or change contour, the
interchangeable insert must be put out of service.
Only use original SCHUNK spare parts when replacing parts.
Repairs to the quick-change jaw system (e.g. by welding) or other
joining methods are strictly forbidden.
