NEVER use solid or liquid � relighters with the
barbecue starter, and never pour � ammable
liquids on to it when it is hot! Doing so can
cause � ames or explosions, which can result
in very serious burns! Never use briquettes or
barbecue charcoal impregnated with lighter
� uid.
WARNING!
This barbecue starter gets very
hot. Only lift it by the handle. Do not move
it when it is in use. Make sure that the cord
cannot come into contact with the hot parts
of the barbecue starter, and that embers
cannot drop onto the cord.

Do not use spirit or petrol for
lighting or re-lighting!

Keep children and pets at a safe
distance.
The barbecue starter may take longer to
ignite the charcoals or briquettes if it is in a
windy location or the weather is cold.
The exterior of the barbecue starter may
become discoloured due to the eff ect
of heat, and it will rust over time. This is
completely normal.
Use
Place the barbecue starter on a � at, stable
surface at least 50 cm from walls or other
areas that cannot tolerate the heat generated
by the barbecue starter.
1. Tilt the legs out until they click into place.
2. Fill the charcoal holder with barbecue
charcoal or briquettes. Do not exceed
the maximum quantity indicated on the
inside of the charcoal holder.
3. Switch the barbecue starter on by
plugging it into a power socket.
4. The barbecue charcoal or briquettes will
be ready to use in 12-20 minutes.
Note: the time depends on the weather
conditions and the quality of the
barbecue charcoal or briquettes. Once
the top layer of barbecue charcoals or
briquettes are covered by a thin layer of
white ash, they are ready to use.
5. Unplug the appliance.
6. Pour the barbecue charcoal or briquettes
into your barbecue.
Cleaning and maintenance
Make sure that the barbecue starter has
completed cooled before cleaning it and
putting it away.
Empty the ash tray after use.
Do not submerge the barbecue starter in
water to clean it.
Only use a soft damp cloth to clean the
barbecue starter.
It is normal for the surfaces of the barbecue
starter to rust after prolonged use.
