3.3 Installation
Observe the instructions for use supplied with the camera.
The device is properly installed.

Connection to Mains Power
Connecting the device to the mains
Do not connect the device to the mains until you have completed all the previous
activities. Observe the safety notices provided at the start of this chapter.
Proceed as follows:
1. Check that the supply voltage at the site of operation corresponds to that
specified on the device nameplate.
2. Insert the power cord into the mains connection socket on the rear of the device.
WARNING!
Sparks in a potentially explosive location. Risk of explosion. En-
sure that the device is not situated in a potentially explosive location when
connecting to the power supply.
3. Connect the power cord to the power supply.
Route cables safely!
4. When routing the cable, make sure it does not present a trip or entanglement
hazard.
The device is properly connected to the power.

Initial Operation
3.4.1
Initial Operation and Function Check
Performing a function check
When operating the device for the first time, check the installation and make sure
the device is in full working order.
Precondition: Installation must have been completed.
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch ON at the main switch on the rear of the device.
The device switches to standby mode and the ON / standby button on the
front of the device is illuminated green.
2. Switch on the device.
After approximately 10 seconds, the device is ready for operation.

High-intensity light. Risk of injury to eyes. Do not look directly into
the open end of the light guide.
4. Check that you are able to adjust the light intensity as described in
