5.5 Storing the Tube Lifter
If the tube lifter is not used for an extended period, it must be stored correctly to protect it from damage.
Options for correct storage:
1. Leave the tube lifter hanging close to the ground with the operator handle.
2. Compress the lifting unit using the retaining net (option) in order to protect the lift tube against
damage.
3. Take down and store the tube lifter. Remove the gripper and store it separately.
NOTE
Damage to suction plates due to inappropriate storage position!
4
Do not set the suction cup down on the suction plates.
NOTE
The effects of ozone, light (especially UV), heat, oxygen, humidity as well as me-
chanical influences can reduce the service life of rubber products.
Damage to the suction plates due to incorrect storage!

You must store rubber parts such as suction cups and suction plates in a cool place (0° C
to +15° C, max. 25° C) that is dark, dry, low in dust and that offers protection from the
weather, ozone and drafts. They should also be free of tension (e.g. stacked appropri-
ately to avoid deformation).
For special grippers, refer to the operating instructions in the appendix.
