ABOUT INSTALLING THE SCHLAGE HARDWARE
Installing the Schlage AD-400 hardware requires the use of a Hand Held Device and the SUS (Schlage Utility
Software). Schlage Software Utility User Guide covers how to do this in step-by-step instructions.

This describes how to use the SUS Software. YOU MUST USE THE SCHLAGE
DOCUMENT TO PERFORM LINKING, COUPLING AND ADDRESSING.

SCHLAGE PROCESS OUTLINED
1.
Download and Install Windows Synchronization Software
a)
Browse to www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads.
b)
Download the software that matches your operating system.
»
For Windows XP or Windows 2000, download Microsoft ActiveSync.
»
For Windows Vista, download Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center.
c)
Launch the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

Go to the Schlage support website
»
Download (from the VIEW link on the table) the v 2.17 package version for the AD-400 firmware
(NOTE the AD-400 is firmware version is actually 2.15).
3.
Download the SUS v4.4.0 setup.exe for the Hand Held Device (HHD)
IMPORTANT:
If
you forget/loose the HHD passwords, you must re-install the SUS onto the HHD
.
IMPORTANT:
Do not share doors with a second HHD. If you couple to a second HDD, then
the door will no longer work with the first HDD.
