Problem
Possible cause
Solution
Motor does not work.
Motor, cable or plug faulty, fuses blown
Have the machine checked by a specialist.
Never repair the motor yourself. Danger! Check
fuses and replace, if required.
The motor starts
slowly and does not
reach operating speed.
Voltage too low, winding damaged, capaci-
tor blown
Have the voltage checked by the electricity
board. Have the motor checked by a specialist.
Have the capacitor replaced by a specialist.
Motor too noisy
Winding damaged, motor faulty
Have the motor checked by a specialist.
Motor does not reach
peak performance.
Mains electric circuit is overloaded (lamps,
other motors etc.).
Do not use other machines or motors in the
same electric circuit.
Motor overheats eas
-
ily.
Motor overload, insufficient cooling of motor
Prevent the motor overloading during cutting,
remove dust from the motor so that ideal cooling
of the motor is ensured.
Reduced cutting
performance during
sawing
Saw blade too small (sharpened too often)
Adjust end stop of the saw.
Cut is rough or wavy.
Saw blade is blunt, tooth shape is not suited
to material thickness
Sharpen the saw blade or put in suitable saw
blade.
Work piece tears or
splinters.
Cutting pressure too high or saw blade not
suited to application
Put in a suitable saw blade.
Warning!
To protect the motor, it is equipped with a thermal switch which turns it off in the event of overloading. After a
short cooling down phase, the motor is turned on again automatically.
