Use a fuse of other switching-on characteristics.

Poor earthing contact on the cable /tongs
Clean the piece and provide for good contact
Check and replace the cable if necessary
Fragile or porous weld
Unclean piece
Wrong type of electrode chosen
Electrodes are damp
Remove rust, grease and other dirt before weld-
ing
Select the electrodes according to the material to
be welded.
Dry the electrodes or dispose of them
Welding current not
available
Reverse conduct of the welding current do
not provide right contact
Thermal protection light on
Defective electronics
Check the reverse line of welding current for
good contact
Let the unit cool down. The work may be contin-
ued when the light indicator goes off.
Inform servicing department
Heat protection on
