2. ADJUSTING THE BULKY FLYER MOVEABLE HOOKS
1.
If your flyer does not appear to be spinning freely, remove the flyer and re-install it
without the drive band or tension spring-and-string.
2.
Make sure there is a 1/16” gap between the flyer shoulder and the orifice bearing.
3.
Spin the flyer by hand.
4.
If the flyer does not spin freely, very slightly loosen the bearing adjustment screw on
the side of the maiden. The bearing should self-adjust on the flyer when loose enough.
5.
Test the flyer and adjust the screw again if needed.

Along the bottom of each flyer arm are eight small dimples. The Bulky flyer
adjustable hooks slide along the arms of the flyer and a spring loaded ball bearing snaps
into place at each dimple.
2.
The flyer hooks move most easily if you hold the hooks above and below the flyer
when moving them.
3.
Always leave both hooks on the flyer to keep it in balance.
