TextBridge provides zone templates as the means to repeatedly
process or ignore specific areas on the same type of pages, and
save time without rezoning each page.
After you create a set of zones, TextBridge lets you save the
current set of zones (including their size, location, and type) as a
zone template. You can then use the zone template on other
documents by specifying it within a page type, or you can load the
zone template directly.
Specifying a zone template within a page type enables you to set
up all your document processing settings in one place for use with
very similar documents.
In this session you will learn to create a set of zones and save
them as a zone template. Then, you will learn to define a new
page type, specify the zone template within it, and use the page
type again for use with a similar document.

For this learning session, use the sample image file named
Scanning.tif
, a fictitious monthly newsletter, called Scanning
News, which has exactly the same layout for each issue.
To create a new page type and zone template and use them on a
subsequent document:
1. Select a page type.
Without the zone template you are going to create, the Magazine
(b&w) page type best matches the Scanning News characteristics,
including portrait orientation, good print type, and multi-column
page layout.
•
Click the Page Type button and select Magazine (b&w).
•
Click OK.
