Setting up your Saxon Brass Telescope 15-45x50

 

There are 5 components in your telescope: 

A.

 

Optical tube assembly with mount 

B.

 

3 x legs 

C.

 

3 x leg pivot bolts 

D.

 

12 x plastic washers 

E.

 

1 x tripod chain 

 

Instructions 

1.

 

Remove all parts from the box. 

2.

 

Locate the pivot bolts on the bottom of the mount. Remove the nut and plastic 

washers from each end of the brass pivot bolt. 

3.

 

Place the optical tube assembly and mount sideways on a flat surface. Attach 

the legs to the mount by placing the brass top of the leg over the holes where 

the pivot bolts were. 

4.

 

Place the plastic washers between all connection points.  

5.

 

Thread the pivot bolt back through 0the hole in the bottom of the mount and 

leg assembly and reattach the nut carefully. 

6.

 

Extend the legs on the mount to your desired length and tighten the bolts on 

the legs. 

7.

 

Lift the optical tube assembly and ensure the entire telescope is in standing 

position.  

8.

 

Spread the tripod legs as far as the chain will allow and ensure that all 

connections are tightened to hold the legs in place.
