Installation
This is a Class 1 product and must be earthed.
Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with
your local authority or retailer for recycling advice.
This product is not suitable for location in or near a marine environment. The product will not withstand long periods of
immersion in water.
This system contains non-replaceable parts and cannot be serviced. If damage occurs the part should be scrapped.
This light fitting should be connected to a circuit with a 30mA RCD fitted. If replacing an existing fitting, make a careful note
of the connections.
To prevent electrocution switch off at mains supply before installing or maintaining this fitting. Ensure other persons cannot
restore the electrical supply without your knowledge. If you are in any doubt, please consult a qualified electrician.
Please read these instructions carefully before commencing any work. This unit must be fitted by a competent and qualified
electrician. Check the pack and make sure you have all the parts listed. Install in accordance with the IEE Wiring regulations
and current Building Regulations.
Cables must be protected using suitable conduit or plastic trunking.
The mains supply cable must have a minimum cross sectional area of 1.0mm
2
.
We recommend that you use H05RN-F specification cable (not supplied) which is an outdoor grade, rubber sheathed cable.
Avoid locating any cables in positions that would cause a hazard. Position cables and outdoor rated junction boxes
(not supplied) away from areas where they may be at risk from being cut, trapped or damaged.
The product must be mounted onto a concrete base or paving slab. It should not be directly installed in the soil.
This product is designed for domestic and light industrial use, It should not be used to support other
objects or used as a replacement for concrete or metal pillars.
Plan the desired layout of these fittings carefully, ensuring the cables will reach the distances between the junction box
and the light fitting.
Layout
Existing fittings must be completely removed before installation of a new product. Before removing the existing fitting,
carefully
note the position of each set of wires.
Note that the switch is turned off before installation.
Ensure that the screws and cable entry points are sealed to maintain the IP rating of the product.
1) Position the supplied right angle
J
bolts as shown in the below diagram.
Use the base of the unit for alignment.
2) Position the conduit or plastic trunking so that the cable comes up that the
centre point of the bollard. Ensure that the cables do not snag.
3) Double check that the fixings line up with the holes in the base of
the fitting before concreting into position, and allow to set.

Refet to below diagram to complete the base installation

Pull the terminal block from inside of the tube, Connected the incoming mains
as per the wiring diagram. then push the terminal block up into of the tube.

Fit the bulb, unscrew the shade and insert the bulb.
•
Fit the fitting to the base by the washers and dome nuts, tighten dome nuts to secure.

Screw the shade back in place.
• Replace fuse or circuit breaker and
switch on. Your light is now ready for use.
Having correctly identified the wiring from your existing light fitting, pull the mains wire through the conduit and connect to the
terminal block in the following way:
