2.7 Control Rod Installation

1)
You
will
now
bend
the
control
rod
wire
into
the
proper
shape.
Using
a
pair
of
needle
nose
pliers,
bend
the
wire
into
the
shape
as
described
in
the
images
below.
You
will
have
a
Z
‐
bend
on
either
end
of
the
wire
with
an
adjusting
V
‐
bend
in
the
center.
The
proper
distance
between
the
parallel
flats
of
the
two
Z
‐
bends
are
50mm.
Use
the
V
‐
bend
in
the
center
to
adjust
the
length
by
pinching
or
squeezing
the
V.

Attach
the
control
rods
to
the
control
horns
and
the
servos.
Secure
the
control
horns
in
their
slots
with
glue
and
let
the
assembly
sit
until
the
glue
has
cured.
