For proper use and maintenance of your Savannah Maxi Scale, please read 
the instructions completely before operation and retain for future reference.

Key function

Switching off

• Switch the scale off by pressing and holding TARE for 2 seconds.
• Scale will auto-off after approximately 60 seconds when 
  not being used.

Operation

Weighing

Step 1: Place the scale on a hard and flat surface.
Step 2: Press TARE once, the LED display will show zero
Step 3: Put food on the platform. Weight will be displayed.

TARE function

Step 1: Place a container on the platform. LED display will show the weight  
 

of the container

Step 2: Press TARE to clear the weight of the container – scale will re-set  
 

to zero. Place food into the container. LED display will show the   

 

weight of the food only. To weigh multiple food items, press TARE  

 

between each placement of food into the container.

Step 3: Removing the container and food, LED display will show the  

 

 

negative value of the container. Press and hold TARE again, 

 

the platform will show zero after 2 seconds.

HOLD function

Step 1: Press and hold MODE for 2 seconds to switch on the HOLD    
 

function. LED display will show ‘H-ON’.

Step 2: Place food onto the platform. LED display will show the weight of  
 

the food. It will beep once and the weight will be locked. The weight  

 

will remain displayed when you remove the food from the platform.

Step 3: When a weight has been locked, you can add another weight that  
 

exceeds 5kg to unlock it, or press TARE. Scale will return to zero.

Inserting the batteries

• Open the battery cover.
• Install 4 x 1.5V AA batteries as shown.
• After installing the batteries, replace the battery cover.
* Please be aware that the incorrect polarity will cause 
permanent impact on the electronic parts.

Error Indication

                            Low Power

                            Overloaded scale – weight exceeds 15kg.

Advice for care and use

• Place scale on a hard and flat surface to ensure the greatest accuracy.
• Don’t drop or subject the scale to shocks as this may damage the unit.
• Don’t use abrasive cleaners.
• Clean the scale with a damp cloth, but don’t allow water to enter the scale.
• To protect the life of the scale, keep out of hot or wet environments.
• Remove battery from scale if it has not been used for a long period.
• If scale does not operate, check battery is correctly positioned. Battery  
  may become flat when scale is not used for prolonged periods of time,  
  and may need replacement.
• Don’t store the scale in an upright position, always store flat.
• Ensure no water comes in contact with scale.
• Don’t stack other items on top of scale when storing.
• Not for commercial use.
