2-2 How to measure temperature
(1) Press the POWER ON/OFF key to turn the power on. All characters are displays and the both of
current temperature and humidity display and it is in measurement mode.
(2) Before starting the measurement, rotate the sensor protection cap to open.
(3) To turn the power off, press the POWER ON/OFF key again and the display disappears.
Rotate the sensor protection cap to close.
Caution
Be sure to use the instrument within the measuring range (-10 to 50
℃)
. Otherwise, humidity sensor
may deteriorate.
2-3. HOLD Function
When the temperature and the humidity change too frequently during measurement, press the HOLD
key to freeze the display for easier reading.
The MIN/MAX values are also fixed while the HOLD function is being used. In PC-5120, the dew point
and wet bulb temperature are also fixed while the HOLD function is being used.
(1) Press the HOLD key.
“HLD”s show in display section and the measured value is being hold,
(2) Press the HOLD key again and the
“HLD” disappears and HOLD function is released.
2-4. MIN/
MAX/ Function
The maximum and minimum values among the measured values can be displayed by pressing the
MAX/MIN key.
(1) Press the MAX/MIN key,
“
MIN” character shows while the minimum measured values of
temperature and humidity are displayed,
(2) Press the MAX/MIN key again.
“MAX” character shows in display section. The maximum values
of temperature and humidity are displayed.
(3) Press the MAX/MIN key again.
“MAX” character disappears and the current temperature and
humidity display.
The stored data are cleared when the power is turned off.
