Operating instructions SATA filter 200
4. Making filter combinations
Filter unit, regulation valve and outlet module are combined by means of a dual nipple.
4.1. SATA filter 244
1. Screw outlet module into pressure regulation valve in
correct position; apply sealing material to thread before-
hand.
4.2. SATA filter 284
1. The double nipple of the activated charcoal filter 264
(if not pre-assembled by SATA) has to be brushed with
an appropriate sealing compound (glue, please do not
use teflon tape) at the thread.
2. Mount pressure regulation valve to fine filter in correct
position.
3. Screw outlet module into pressure regulation valve in
correct position; apply sealing material to thread before-
hand.
5. Pressure regulation valve
The required working pressure can be set at the regulating valve (2).
If air escapes at the vent hole at the rear of filter cap or the valve
does not function properly, the pressure regulation valve must be
disassembled, cleaned and inspected.
6. Automatic Condensate Discharge
The automatic condensate discharger only functions properly when the filter is in the vertical position. At a minimum
inlet pressure of 1 bar/15 psi, the discharge valve closes automatically. When the filter is non-pressurized, the valve
ramins open (for description function, see paragraph 1.1). By turning the brass control knob clockwise, condensation
can be pressurized and discharged manually (valve opens, condensate discharges). If the valve does not discharge,
the unit must be disassembled as outlined in paragraph 7. Clean dirty or clogged condensate discharge valve in
cleaning solvent and replace if necessary. In case of malfunction, blow condensate valve free from the outside with a
maximum of 1 bar/15 psi when the unit is not pressurized. Replace if necessary.
