2. Safety Notes
•
The appliance may be connected to a grounded socket only. Do not connect any other
appliance to the same socket. The outlet must be easily accessible, so that the plug can
easily be removed in the case of an emergency.
•
IMPORTANT
The soup-kettle may only be switched on, after you have poured water into the
soup-kettle (0,6 litres of warm water). For this take out the interior pot before. Never
overfill with water, otherwise the water will overflow, if you put the interior pot into the
soup-kettle.
•
The appliance has an overheating protection, however dry heating can cause damage. In
such a case the warranty does no longer exist.
•
Always pull on the plug and not on the cable, if you pull the plug from the socket. Switch
off the appliance before.
•
The cable must not hang over table edges and/or sharp edges. It also must not come into
contact with the hot appliance surface or with water.
•
Regularly check the cable. If it is damaged, it must be exchanged by a qualified
specialist.
•
Do not leave the oven unattended while it is in use. Children are not able to realise
dangers when handling electronic appliances.
•
Do not move the soup-kettle during operating.
•
Before each cleaning session or repair, switch off the appliance and allow it to cool. Pull
the plug from the socket. The appliance must not be hosed down with water or placed
into water.
•
Pull the plug from the socket after each use.
•
Do not attempt to repair the appliance by yourself. Repairs may only be undertaken by a
qualified specialist.
•
If you do not like to use the appliance for a long time, then pull the power plug from the
socket, clean the appliance and cover it with a air-permeable material.
3. Before the first use and operation
•
Unpack the appliance carefully.
•
Place the appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistand surface.
•
Take out the interior pot and clean everything with a damp cloth and something detergent
(see „Cleaning“). Afterwards dry everything. Make sure, that the cable and the plug not
become wet.
•
Pour 0,6 litres water into the appliance.
•
Set the interior pot with the contents into the appliance.
NOTE
Remeber the soup-kettle is constructed for keeping soups warm and not for cooking.
Give only preheated products into the interior pot.
•
Put the plug into the plug socket.
•
Turn the thermostat switch on the desired temperature. The temperature range is
between approx. 50°C and 95°C. With reaching the se lected temperature the appliance
switches off automatically. The heating-up time depends on the outside temperature and
the quantity of the contents.
•
In order to switch the appliance off, turn the temperature toggle on the position OFF.
•
Pull the plug from the plug socket.
•
Clean everything carefully.
