Defrosting Your Refrigerator
Defrost your refrigerator when...
• The layer of ice in the ice storage compartment reaches a quarter of
an inch thick
To defrost your refrigerator...
1. Remove all foods.
2. Remove all ice cube trays.
3. Leave the door open.
4. Place trip tray at the base of your refrigerator.
5. Set the temperature control to OFF. See page 6 for instructions.
6. Wait 2-3 hours, or until all the ice melts.
7. Reset the temperature control to its usual position.

NEVER
use any sharp or metallic instrument to
remove ice from your refrigerator.

NEVER
use boiling water or a heater to melt ice.
• These could damage your refrigerator and void your
warranty.
