Answering Calls
To answer an incoming call:
1.
Make sure your phone is on. (If your phone is off, incoming calls
go to voicemail.)
2.
Press or
Speaker
(left softkey) to answer an incoming call.
(Depending on your phone’s settings, you may also answer
incoming calls by pressing any number key. See “Setting Any
Key Answer” on page 52 for more information.)
Your phone notifies you of incoming calls in the following ways:

The phone rings or vibrates.
䢇
The LED flashes.
䢇
The backlight illuminates.
䢇
The screen displays an incoming call message.
䢇
If available, the phone number of the caller is displayed.
䢇
If the phone number is in your Contacts list, the contact’s name is
displayed.
The following options are also displayed by pressing
Options
(right
softkey). To select an option, highlight it and press
.

Call Guard
to answer the call when you are in roaming mode.
See page 69 for setting Call Guard.

Answer
to answer the call.
䢇
Answer:Speaker
to answer the call in speakerphone mode.
䢇
Don’t Answer
to hang up the incoming call and return to the Web
while you are in Web operation. (This feature appears only when
Sprint PCS Vision access is dormant.)
䢇
Screen Call
to answer the call by using a pre-recorded
announcement. (This feature appears only when you are in a
network service area or digital roaming area. See page 123.)
䢇
Quiet Ringer
to mute the ringer. (This feature appears only when
the ringer is set.)
