Panel operation example: Correction to 50 A using F404
Heater disconnection detection function
Only the UG-TB3U and UG-TB3HU conversion boards are equipped with the heater
disconnection detection function. There are two modes with different specifications.

Heater
Divide the number of heaters by two
so that A is equal to B or B + 1.
Connect the external CT to measure
the current on the heater A side.
Detection
method
Monitor the heater resistance via the
external CT and external PT.
Disconnection is determined with an
amount of change from the initial
resistance.
Monitor the ratio of the current
detected with the external CT to that
detected with the built-in CT. The ratio
of the external CT to the built-in CT
should be 1:2. Disconnection is
determined with a change from this
current ratio.
Heater type
Heaters with a constant resistance
The function can be used for heaters
with a resistance that varies when the
temperature changes.
Heater
capacity
25% of the rated current or higher
when the output voltage is 100%
40% of the rated current or higher
when the output voltage is 100%
