If the installation is made to an individual ducting, use standard ducting of 100
mm diameter. Smaller diameter must not be used. If it is necessary to bend the
duct at the discharge of the fan, make the radius as large as possible.
Before fi xing the fan support, ensure that there are no obstructions to the air-
fl ow, that the shutter mounted at the fan discharge opens easily and that the
impeller turns freely.
Remove retaining screw and lift off the terminal box cover (Fig.4).
The installation may be made with the cable fl ush fi tted by piercing either of the
two notches provided for this (Fig.5.1), or else with surface wiring, using the side
cable inlet (Fig.5.2).
Insert some 150mm of cable into the extractor housing and pass it through the
cable clamp.
Fix the extractor to the wall. Arrange the foam rubber provided, around the dis-
charge port so that it fi ts closely to the duct. Secure the extractor housing to the
wall by inserting and tightening its screws.
After wiring is completed, replace terminal block cover and grille. Turn on
mains supply and check operation.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The EBB is an extractor designed for a single phase supply, with voltage and
frequency as indicated on the rating plate of the unit.
The EBB models are made Class II (double electrical insulation) and therefore
they do not need an earth connection.
The electrical installation must include a double pole switch with a contactclea-
rance of at least 3mm.
Once the cable has been introduced, proceed to the appropriate electrical wiring
depending on the EBB model.
EBB MODELS S
Single speed fan. Controlled by remote switch (e.g. light switch Fig.6 or indepen-
dent switch Fig.7) or Auto- Sensor.
The neon indicator is lit when the fan is running.
EBB MODELS M
Single speed fan. Controlled by integral pullcord switch (Fig.8).
The neon indicator is lit when the fan is running.
