Parallel Port Hardware Installation
Warning:
Shut down your computer and turn off its power before you install
the Parallel Port ImageMate. Failure to do so could damage your computer.
Note to USB users:
Go to the next section of this guide.
1.
If a printer is installed on your computer system, shut down its power and disconnect it
from your computer.
2.
Connect the parallel interface cable from the ImageMate to your computer’s
parallel port.
3.
Attach your printer’s parallel cable to the ImageMate’s pass-through parallel connector.
This allows you to print without disconnecting the ImageMate from your computer.
4.
Select the keyboard power adapter lead that is compatible with your PC keyboard
socket. Unplug the keyboard from your computer and attach it into the shorter end of
the Y-connector.
5.
Plug the power jack (the longer end of the Y-connector) into the power input socket of
the parallel pass through connector.
6.
Attach the Y-shaped keyboard connector into the keyboard jack on your PC.
7.
Make sure all cable connections are secure. You’re now ready to install the
ImageMate software.
