Using the camera
To use the camera, you need a special
application or website (see also
“Using the
camera with MSN”
on page 6).
For example, you can use the
“AMCap”
application supplied. To launch the
application, click the link under
“Start” -
“(All) Programs”
.
There are various items on the AMCap
toolbar. Here is a short description of the
most important ones:
File
Set Capture File…
Specifies the file name and location for a
video sequence.
Allocate File Space…
Allocates free space on your hard disk for a
video sequence.
Save Captured Video…
Saves a video sequence.
Exit
Closes the application.
Devices
VIMICRO USB PC Camera 301x
Specifies the camera you wish to use with
“AMCap”

Specifies the audio device you wish to use
with
“AMCap”

Preview
Switches on the camera.
Audio Format…
Specifies the sound quality for a video
sequence.
Audio Capture Filter…
Specifies the audio source to use.
Video Capture Filter…
Sets up the camera image.
Video Capture Pin…
Specifies the desired resolution.
Capture
Start Capture
Starts video sequence recording.
Stop Capture
Stops video sequence recording.
Capture Audio
Enables/disables audio recording.
Set Frame Rate…
Specifies the camera frame rate.
Set Time Limit…
Specifies the time limit for the video
sequence.
Still
Enables still picture mode.
