Adding Users
The administrator (Level 1) can add or remove the users and provide
user rights, i.e. access control. The administrator can add up to 16 users
including the administrator accounts and assign each user with an access
level 1~4. Only the administrator (Level 1) can add, modify, or remove
this information.
To add a new user, follow the steps below:
1.
Enter the configuration mode by executing the following command.
Router# configure term
2.
Type ‘user’ followed by the user name and access level (optional) as
shown below.
Router/configure# user John level 2
In this example, the user name is John and access level is 2.
Then, the system prompts you to enter a new password.
3.
Enter a new password.
4.
The system confirms that the password is set and the user is added.
You can use the ‘show user_accounts’ command to view user
information.
