Chnise Stroke(
) Mode
This mode allows you to enter individual Chinese
strokes, in written order - from top to bottom, and
from left to right. Your phone provides
Chinese
Simplified Stroke
mode and
Chinese
Traditional Stroke
mode.
Text Area
Displays the selected characters.
Keystroke Area
Displays the keystrokes you have entered to compose
the current character selections.
Character Selection Map
Displays possible characters based
on keystrokes you have entered.
Mode Indicator
Displays the current text input mode.
The two modes work similarly, but the characters that
appear in the display may differ.
When the phone is in the Chinese Stroke mode, keys
behave as follows:
Up/Down Scroll Keys
Scrolls through choices in the
Character Selection Map. Also
scrolls through text modes
available when you access
Mode
change menu.
Left Soft/*Scroll Key
Perform the function indicated by
the text above this key.
*Moves the cursor left through
your text message.
Change to Scroll Key
Chnage the function of soft keys
to scroll.
Clear/*Change to Soft Key
Press this key to delete keystrokes from the Keystroke
Area and/or characters from the Text Area.
*Change the function of soft keys to Soft Key.
Right Soft/*Scroll Key
Perform the function indicated by the text above them
(According to this example, this key is

*Moves the cursor right through your text message.
Stroke Keys
Press keys to generate strokes
used to build characters. When
pressed in the correct order,
appropriate characters are
displayed in the Character
Selection Map.
Wildcard Key
Press this key to add a stroke to a character when you
are not sure what stroke to add next.
