When the CD tray ejects, insert a CD or DVD.

Push the CD tray inward until it clicks into place.
Do not insert warped, cracked, or heavily scratched discs
into the drive. Damaged discs may spin too quickly and
can damage the drive.
•
The appearance of your external drive may differ in
appearance from the images in this manual.
•
If the drive will not open when the power is off, insert
a paper clip (
) into the eject pinhole to open the
tray manually.
•
When cleaning a CD or DVD, wipe it with a soft cloth
from the inside edge towards the outside edge.
•
Reading and writing speeds may differ depending on
the condition of the disc and the media type.
•
Do not insert a CD or DVD that is not circular.
