Debug Commands
debug dot1x
This command configures debug settings for IEEE 802.1X authentication processes.
Use the
no
form to disable debug mode for IEEE 802.1X.

- Sets debugging for all options (config, database, event, packet).

- Sets debugging for dot1x configuration settings.

- Sets debugging for dot1x database operations.

- Sets debugging for dot1x events.

- Sets debugging for dot1x packets.

show
- Displays information about the specified debug type.

- Displays information for all options.

state-machine
- Displays information on state-machine events.

- Displays information for backend state-machine events.

- Displays information for authenticator state-machine events.

Command Usage
• Use the
debug dot1x
command without any
classification
or
feature
to enable
debugging for all 802.1X authentication processes.
• Use the
debug dot1x all
command to enable debugging for all of the
classification
options (i.e., config, database, event and packet).
• Use the
debug dot1x
classification
show
feature
command to enable
debugging for the specified classification and feature. When debugging is
enabled for the
config
classification, debug messages will be shown when
802.1X configuration commands are entered. When debugging is enabled for
the
database
classification, debug messages will be shown when a memory
operation is applied to the 802.1X authentication database. When debugging
is enabled for the
event
classification, debug messages will be shown when
