Use the Away Message
If you want to stay online and receive
messages, but you don’t want to be
interrupted or you want others to know that
you might not respond right away, you can
turn on an Away Message. Others who have
you on their Buddy List will see an Away icon
next to your name. They can still send
instant messages to you, but your phone will
not give an audio alert for new messages
and will send an automatic Away Message
reply.
To turn on the Away Message, complete
the following steps:
1. From the AIM Online menu, select
Away Message
then press the
Select
softkey.
2. Select
On
then press the
Select
softkey. A confirmation message
displays when your status is set.
