MP3/WMA Playback

Insert a CD-R written MP3 or WMA file into the tray
and close it, or insert a Memory Card, following the
photo to the right.

Press the DVD/M.CARD button.

- Every time you push the DVD/M.CARD button, the system

enters the Memory Card mode and the DVD/CD mode in turn.

• Memory Card mode : Plays the Memory Card
• DVD/CD Mode : Plays the CD-R 

As the screen shown in the right, it displays the
file extensions saved in the memory card CD-R.
Press the UP/DOWN button to select a media
type you want and press the ENTER button. 
The first song in the first folder in the selected
media will be automatically played.

- If no button on the remote control is pressed for 60 seconds, the

menu will disappear and the selected item will be played. 

- To change the currently playing media, press the 

M.C. MENU/DISC MENU button. 

If you want to hear another song, press the
UP/DOWN button to select and press the 
ENTER button.
Press the RIGHT button to see the next page.
When there are multiple folders in the same
media, press the RETURN button to select the
desired folder and press the ENTER button.

NOTE

• Press the REPEAT button to listen to selected mp3s continuously and press it once again to release.
• DVD/CD cannot be played in the Memory Card mode. If you push the M.CARD or OPEN/CLOSE button in

DVD/M.CARD mode, the system will automatically enter the DVD/CD mode.

• Depending on the recording method, some MP3/WMA CD-Rs may not be replayed.
• PROGRAM/RANDOM playback cannot be used if the memory card or disc contains more than two types of file

extensions.

• When pushing the DVD/M.CARD button to play disc again, the player doesn’t remember where you stopped. 
• It is impossible to write MP3/WMA or Jpeg files to a Memory Card in this unit as it is read only.
• Only MP3/WMA Format files with the “ .mp3” and “ .wma” extensions can be played.

Be sure to insert the Memory Card
correctly. (Refer to page 32.)

How to insert a Memory Card

This unit accepts 4 different types of Memory cards

This device supports 4 types of memory cards: Memory Stick, SD Card, MMC,
and Smart Media Card, which must be inserted as follows.

Memory Stick 

4MB~128MB, 256MB, 512MB

Secure Digital Card (SD) 

4MB~256MB

Multi Media Card (MMC) 

4MB~128MB

Smart Media Card (SMC) 

4MB~128MB

Memory Card Capacity

Memory Cards with FAT16 can be played it their capacity is under 2GB.

Insert the memory card correctly with the label facing up, otherwise it may not work.

Types of Memory Cards

NOTE

• Memory Cards over 2GB use FAT 32, which is not compatible with this unit.
• If it is not fully inserted, the “Memory Card” will not work.
• If you remove the “Memory Card” during Memory Card operation the recorded data may become corrupted. 

It is better to remove it after pressing DVD/M.CARD button to return to DVD/CD Mode.

• If you need to format the "Memory Card", use a "Memory Card" compatible device. 
• If you format the "Memory Card" using your computer, the "Memory Card" may not work.
