Check this box to enable IPSec.
Enter a name for your VPN.
Choose either

Enter the local (LAN) subnet and mask.
(ex. 192.168.0.0/24)
Enter the remote subnet and mask.
Enter the amount of time in seconds that the Phase 1 and
Phase 2 keys should last.
Choose either

from the drop-down menu.

the PFS Group option using the drop-down
menu. PFS is an additional security protocol.
Select this option to configure IKE Phase 1 of the VPN Tunnel
to carry out negotiation in a shorter amount of time. (This
option is not recommended as it is less secure)

The DIR-640L supports IPSec as the Server Endpoint. IPSec (Internet Protocol Security) is a set of protocols that can provide IP
security at the network layer.
