Design and principle of operation
3.1.1 Communication
Serial interface
The actuator with positioner is fitted with an
RS-232 serial interface. This allows commu-
nication with TROVIS-VIEW using SSP proto-
col (see Fig. 3-2).

Configuration
The actuator with positioner is configured
with the TROVIS-VIEW software. In this case,
the serial interface on the actuator is used to
connect the actuator to the computer. The
TROVIS-VIEW software enables the user to
easily configure the positioner as well as
view process parameters online.
