Installing the regulator into
the pipeline

Checking the installation
conditions
Risk of excess pressure damaging plant sec

tions due to construction-related seat leakage
through the regulator.
− Always install a safety device (e.g. safety
excess pressure valve or safety relief valve)
in the plant.
Pipeline routing
The inlet and outlet lengths vary depending
on the process medium. To ensure the regu-
lator functions properly, follow the installa-
tion instructions given below:

Observe the inlet and outlet lengths (see
Table 5). Contact SAMSON if the regula
-
tor conditions or state of the medium
process deviate.

Install the regulator free of stress and
with the least amount of vibrations as
possible. If necessary, attach supports to
the valve.
Î
Install the regulator allowing sufficient
space to remove the regulator or to per-
form service and repair work on it.
Support and suspension
Depending on the regulator version and
mounting position, the regulator and pipe-
line must be supported or suspended. The
plant engineering company is responsible in
this case.
