VAC & SEAL/STOP

2A

 butt on. The

2G

indicator will turn on red. The vacuum

packing and sealing process will start. The

vacuum packing and sealing process takes

about a dozen seconds to complete; when it

ends, the

2G

 indicator turns green and the

lid lock butt ons

 are released automati -

cally.

8.  You can stop the process any ti me by press-

ing

VAC & SEAL/STOP

2A

.

9.  Once your work with the appliance is done,

unplug it from the mains, lift  the lid and

remove the sealed plasti c bag. Check that

all air has been removed well and that the

seal has been welded airti ght. If the plasti c

bag is at vacuum and sealed ti ght, it will be

somewhat rigid. Repeat as required.

VACUUM PACKING (MANUAL MODE)

Some food products have a very fragile structure

and may require a precise control of the vacuum

level. To do this, you can use the manual vacuum

functi on. Manual vacuum control during vacuum

packing and sealing of juicy food products will

help you prevent sucking out the liquids.

1.

Place the food product in the plasti c bag.

The plasti c bag should be large enough to

leave approximately 5 cm of free length to

seal it well.

CAUTION! The length of the plasti c bag to

be sealed must be dry and clean. If the free

length to be sealed gets dirty when the food

product is put in the plasti c bag, clean it with

paper towel.

2.  Plug the appliance to the mains and open

the lid

.

3.

Put the open end of the plasti c bag into the

vacuum chamber

. Keep the knurled side

of the plasti c bag down.

4.  Close the lid and press it down. Press the

lid lock butt ons

at the same ti me to keep

the plasti c fi lm fi rmly pressed down.

5.  Press and hold the

PULSE

2E

 butt on to

manually control the vacuum. The vacuum

pump starts (this is indicated with a green

light at the same butt on). When there is

enough vacuum in the plasti c bag, release

PULSE

2E

.

6.  Press the

SEAL

2B

 butt on. The

2G

indicator will turn on red, and sealing will

start. The vacuum will start several seconds

later and take a short while to allow the

vacuum sealer to automati cally release the

lid. When vacuum and sealing ends, you will

hear a beep, and the

2G

 indicator will turn

green.

7.  Once your work with the appliance is done,

unplug it from the mains, lift  the lid and

remove the sealed plasti c bag. Check that

all air has been removed well and that the

seal has been welded airti ght.

VACUUM VIA ACCESSORIES

The vacuum sealer can evacuate air from

detached containers. This requires the PSC-30

vacuum tube (not included).

1.

Connect a compati ble vacuum tube to the

accessory vacuum connector

. Connect

the other end of the vacuum tube to its

dedicated container.

2.  Plug the power cord to a mains outlet.

3.  Press the

ACCESSORY

2F

 butt on to evac-

uate air from the container. The green

2F

indicator is on when vacuum is on.

4.

The vacuum process ends aft er several sec-

onds and the vacuum pump stops. You can

stop the vacuum at any ti me by pressing

VAC & SEAL/ STOP

2A

.

5.

Repeat the vacuum, if there is not enough

vacuum in the container.

6.  When done, disconnect the vacuum tube

and unplug the appliance from the mains.

PRACTICAL TIPS

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.

Vacuum pack the food as fresh as possible.

Vacuum sealers help keep the food fresh

and unspoiled fi ve ti mes longer than tradi-

ti onal storage.

2.

Fragile-structured, moist or pliable food

types (e.g. bakery products, meat and

fruit) must be deep frozen before vacuum

packing. Put the food products in a freezer

a few days before vacuum packing. This will

make these products hard enough for safe

vacuum packing.

3.

If you want to vacuum pack fresh meat

without freezing it fi rst, place a piece of

folded paper towel between the meat and

the top of the plasti c bag. The paper towel

will soak up the moisture and prevent suck-

ing it into the vacuum sealer.

EN

4.  Food products with sharp edges need to be

wrapped in paper towel to prevent cutti  ng

of the plasti c bag.

5.

Before packing food products for

SOUS VIDE

 cooking, bag them with the

ingredients and seasoning.

6.

Do not reuse the plasti c bags.

7.

Scald the vegetables in boiling water before

vacuum packing. Vacuum packing is not

suitable for prolonged storage of fungi

or garlic; vacuum will not harm anaerobic

bacteria.

8.

You can make ice packs with the vacuum

sealer. Add water to a plasti c bag with a

litt le of alcohol, and seal the bag without

vacuum. The ice packs made this way and

cooled in a freezer make for good cold

compresses.

9.  The vacuum sealer can also vacuum pack

various items (including maps, jewellery,

etc.).

10. Use only the dedicated weld-sealable

plasti c bags or plasti c fi lm sleeves up to 280

mm in width. One side of the plasti c bags /

fi lm sleeves must be knurled.

11.

Semi-liquid food products can only be

sealed in plasti c bags with this appliance.

DO NOT USE VACUUM WHEN SEALING

THESE PRODUCTS.

Otherwise the vacu-

um pump may aspirate the liquid. Use the

SEAL butt on only when sealing liquid food

products.

TROUBLESHOOTING

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem

Cause

Soluti on

The appliance fails to start /

power on.

No power.

Plug the appliance to the mains. Verify that your mains rati ngs are

compati ble with the appliance. Inspect the power cord. If you suspect it is

damaged, immediately unplug the appliance from the mains and contact an

Authorized Service.

The appliance does not vacuum

the plasti c bags completely.

The plasti c bag opening is misaligned at the

vacuum chamber. The plasti c bag seal weld is not

airti ght. The fi lm is dirty along the sealing line.

Make sure that the open edges of the plasti c bag are completely in the

vacuum chamber. Try to seal the plasti c bag again. Clean the sealing line.

Once sealed, the plasti c bag

start taking air.

The plasti c bag was pierced by a sharp edge of

its contents.

Some products (including vegetables and fruits)

release gas once vacuum packed and sealed.

Wrap the sharp edges of the food to be sealed.

The vegetables were not scalded before vacuum packing. Open the plasti c

bag and make sure that the food is sti ll fresh.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.

Unplug the appliance from the mains before

cleaning.

2.  Clean the appliance housing by wiping with

a damp cloth and some detergent. Next,

wipe the appliance housing dry.

3.  Wipe the appliance interior with a dry cloth

only. Take care to clean the vacuum cham-

ber interior well.

4.

If the sealing bar gasket

 is very dirty,

you can remove it and wash under running

water. Dry it completely before reinstalling

in the appliance.
