Troubleshooting
WARNING! DISCONNECT THE POWER TO THE SYSTEM BEFORE SERVICING.
This troubleshooting guide is to provide basic checks to facilitate problem isolation and repair.
All repairs should be made according to local codes and by a qualified technician.
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
SOLUTION
Machine will not turn on.
Tank will not fill up.
Only hot or cold water is
going into tank.
Pump motor not running.
Water leaks from pump.
Food is not moving over the
separator into the disposer.
Sensor does not detect
operator leaving work
area.
Line disconnect turned to off position.
Door open over disposer.
Proximity switch inoperative.
Drain open.
Door open over disposer.
Hot or cold valve closed.
Blender is not working or is out
of adjustment.
Door open over disposer.
Overload tripped.
Proximity switch inoperative.
Pump motor inoperative.
Pump seal/o-ring worn.
Clamps loose.
Gear motor is not turning.
Gear motor is running backwards.
Object blocking sensor.
Water Saver not turned on.
Dirty sensor.
Turn disconnect on.
Close door.
Replace switch.
Close slip valve.
Close door.
Open valves.
Replace blender.
Adjust setting of blender.
Close door.
Wait for overload to cool and check for cause of reset to
trip, i.e. debris in pump.
Replace switch.
Replace pump motor.
Replace seal/o-ring.
Tighten clamps.
Check gear motor and replace if bad.
Reverse rotation of motor.
Remove object from in front of sensor.
Turn on Water Saver.
Clean sensor.
IMPORTANT!
Do NOT use corrosive chemicals for scrapping or cleaning purposes!
How it Works
• Warm water enters the tank and the
ScrapMaster pump recirculates water
through the gusher tube.
• Cold water is introduced directly into the
disposer grind chamber of the disposer.
• As dishes are passed through the water
plume, they are scrapped and pre-rinsed
at the same time.
• Water falls through the separator and
returns to the tank reservoir while the
food waste falls into the disposer.
