HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY

GROUNDED PLUG

To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded

plug (2 blades and 1 pin). If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical

outlet contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any

way or use an adaptor.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Place a pot with water on the element(s) and turn the Temperature

Control Knob(s) to the MAX position. Allow the unit to heat on the MAX

setting for 10 – 15 minutes. This will burn off any manufacturing oils on

any inside parts of the Cooktop. During this process, a small amount of

smoke may be seen coming from under the Cooktop and/or around the

Temperature Control Knob(s).

HOW TO USE YOUR PORTABLE COOKTOP

Any flat-bottomed pot or container that can be used on a conventional

electric stove element can also be used on the Portable Cooktop. For

maximum heat transfer, cookware that has a solid perfectly flat bottom

is recommended. Cookware made from solid aluminum or some other

material with an encapsulated aluminum base will provide the best

results. Any cookware can be used to reheat but if maximum energy is

required, such as boiling water, please use the recommended cookware.

  1.  Place the Portable Cooktop. onto a smooth, dry, flat surface. Be sure

that the knobs are in the ‘0’ position and plug into any 120 Volt A.C.

outlet. Once the unit is plugged into the wall outlet the red indicator

light will glow until it is unplugged.

  2.  Place filled cookware on element.

  3.  Turn Control Knob clockwise to desired setting. The green Indicator

Light will glow and go ‘on’ and ‘off’ as the selected temperature is

automatically maintained.

IMPORTANT:

  DO NOT preheat before using.

DO NOT switch on before cookware is placed on the element.

  UNPLUG unit after use.
