1.  Fill the water tank with water to the required level. Ensure that the water level is 

between the minimum and maximum indicator marks. Use fresh room temperature 

water only. 

2.  Place the funnel and filter into the filter holder.  

3.  Place ground coffee into the filter. Large cups take 5-6g of ground coffee per cup. 

Use the Coffee Strength Selector to select the required coffee strength. Ensure the 

carafe is firmly in place and centred on the heating plate.  

4.  Paper filter cups can be used in place of the supplied filter.  

5.  Turn on the unit using the power switch. The power indicator light will go on, and the 

brewing process will start automatically and the heating plate will heat up.  

6.  Wait until the brewing process is complete and the funnel has run empty. The carafe 

can now be removed and the coffee poured. 

7.  Allow the unit to cool down for at least 5 minutes before making more coffee.  

 

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE 

  This appliance is for household use only and is not user-serviceable.  

  Do not open or change any parts by yourself. Please refer to a qualified electrical 

service department or return to the supplier if servicing is necessary. 

  Ensure that the unit is switched off before unplugging from the electrical outlet. 

Always remember to unplug the unit from the electrical outlet when not in use 

and before cleaning.  

  The filter, funnel and carafe can be washed in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry 

well before storage. 

  The body of the appliance and the stand should be cleaned with a damp cloth. 

Do not let water enter the appliance, 

  Do not use bleach or other abrasive substance or solvents to clean your 

appliance as it can be damaging to the finish. 

  Do not immerse the mixer in water or any other liquid, or hold it under a running 

tap to clean. 

  To remove stubborn spots/marks, wipe the surfaces with a cloth slightly 

dampened in soapy water or mild non-abrasive cleaner. Rinse and dry a clean, 

dry, soft cloth.
