General Use
You can see listed below the operations from the Salto RW
software for which the Salto encoder is required;
1. To read an I-button.
2. To delete an I-button.
3. To do a check in.
4. To copy a guest I-button.
5. To edit a guest cancel I-button
6. To edit a programming I-button / spare I-buttons.
7. To assign I-buttons to users (the installation staff).
For the explanation of these operations, follow the instructions
in the RW access control software manual.
Generally, I-buttons will be edited one by one, but spare I-
buttons may be edited in series, until you have as many spare I-
buttons as you require.
Encoders alerts
The RW I-button encoder has an LED (Light Emitting Diode)
mounted on it and an audible tone generator. During its use the LED
will light and the sounder beep. Below is a list of the signals and their
meanings;
1.
Green slow flashing light:
Waiting for I-button.
2.
Fixed green light:
Successfully finished operation.
3.
Green fast flashing light:
Processing data.
4.
Fixed red light:
Error, finished operation.
(Every LED signal will also have an acoustic signal).
The sounder can be disabled in the RW software. (see the RW software
manual for an explanation of this).
