IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING

This electrical device has been designed to be shock-proof.
However, when using this device, especially when children
are present, basic safety precautions should always be fol-
lowed, including the following precautions.

DANGER

 – To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury:

·

Always unplug the device immediately after using.

·

Do not use while bathing.

·

Do not place or store the device where it can fall or be pulled
into a tub or sink.

·

Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.

·

Do not reach for a device that has fallen into water.  Unplug
immediately.

WARNING

 – To reduce the risk of injury or device damage:

·

Use this device only for its intended use as described in
this manual.  Use only with nebulizers supplied by Salter
Labs.

·

Close supervision is necessary when this device is used
by, on, or near children or invalids.

·

Never operate this device if it has a damaged cord or plug,
if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or dam-
aged, or dropped into water.  Return the device to a service
center for examination and repair.

·

Turn the compressor off before filling the nebulizer with
medication.

·

To prevent possible risk of infection due to contamination,
clean the nebulizer after each use according to its instruc-
tions.

·

Never block the air vents on the rear and bottom of the de-
vice or place it where the vents may be blocked.  Make sure
there is at least 15 cm (6 in) clearance on all sides of the
unit.

NEBULIZER CLEANING

Clean the nebulizer after each use.  Refer to the cleaning in-
structions supplied with your nebulizer.
1. Ensure that the compressor is turned off and unplugged.
2. Disconnect tubing from the compressor and the nebulizer.

Set the tubing aside.

3. Disassemble and clean the nebulizer according to its in-

structions.

4. After cleaning, reassemble the nebulizer and tubing.  Make

sure that the green cone is placed into the nebulizer cup
before assembling the top to the cup.

WARNING

 – To prevent possible risk of infection due to

contamination, clean the nebulizer after each use ac-
cording to the instructions.

STORAGE

1. Place the tubing and nebulizer in a clean, dry, sealed con-

tainer or bag.

2. Coil the power cord.
3. Store the compressor and nebulizer kit in a clean, dry envi-

ronment.  If available, store and transport the device and
accessories in its carrying case.  Do not store the com-
pressor on the floor where it can collect dust.

NOTE

 – The Compressor should be stored and transported

in the following environmental conditions:

Ambient temperature

-40 to 70 °C (-40 to 158 °F)

Relative humidity

10 to 100 %

Atmospheric pressure 500 to 1060 hPa (375 to 795
mmHg)
