Step 3: Electrical installation 

Your pump must be connected to the electrical supply using the main cable with the 

attached plug. This plug must be connected to an accessible socket that has been installed in 

compliance with IET Wiring Regulations.
The plug must be accessible at all times.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, it’s service agent,  

or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
All pipe work must be cross-bonded in accordance with the IET Regulations.
The pump is supplied with a fuse fitted. Higher rate fuses MUST NOT be used.
If installed by a Part P qualified installer, the pump may be fitted via a fused mains spur 

without invalidating the warranty. See Technical Specifications for fuse ratings for each 

model of pump. Ensure that the pump is fully operational before hard wiring pump in this 

instance, this should be done during commissioning.
