sure that there is no dented pipe and always make use copper bending tools to bend copper
pipes.
Vacuuming and Refrigerant Charging
The packaged or outdoor unit for mini chiller is fully charged with refrigerant in the factory. For
split type mini chiller, after the copper pipes are connected and before opening the valves, the
indoor pipes need to be vacuumed. It is important that indoor unit is properly vacuumed to make
sure the system is free of dust and moisture.
Note: Vacuum level must be maintained at 130Pa for at least 5 minutes to check for leakage.
Water Piping
a)
Air vent must be installed at the highest position. Open the air vent to release the air
trapped in the water system.
b)
It is recommended to install water tank to lower the frequency of compressor loading
and unloading during low load condition. Ensure the water volume in the system does
not less than 10L/kW (water volume/load).
c)
Install an expansion tank at the highest position as shown in the diagram.
d)
Install a relief valve allow mini chiller release excessive pressure when water pressure
exceed 5 Bar.

f)
Ensure all water pipes are well insulated.
g)
Fill up water after water piping work complete. Check the water leakage at connections
and joints.
