Safety Precautions
This manual describes the engine and its general
operating procedures. For mounting and control, see
the instruction manual for the model airplane. Some
suggestions are included in this manual for mount-
ing the engine using the included motor mount.
• Saito engines are intended for use with hobby-
grade model aircraft only. They are NOT for use in
manned vehicles or for any other purpose.
• Engine-powered model aircraft are NOT toys.
Keep children out of the vicinity of such aircraft.
Always use extreme caution when testing, running
or flying an engine and/or a model aircraft with
engine installed. Always use genuine Saito parts
for replacements.
• Be sure to check the propeller before each flight.
If it is damaged, replace the propeller with
a new one.
• If the propeller hits something while the engine
is in operation, immediately stop the engine and
check for damage.
• Start the engine on a flat surface free of stones or
other debris.
• When mixing fuel, or operating the engine, do so in
a well-ventilated area.
iMPoRtANt:
For proper heat transfer, it is important to use a metal motor mount when mounting these
engines in a model aircraft.
