Sailrite MC-SCR Power System:
MC-SCR MotoR InStallatIon
The MC-SCR Power System is a compact, powerful
motor that offers greater slow speed power and control
than a clutch motor. MC-SCR systems include a motor,
control box, motor pulley, motor bracket, foot pedal, and
adjustable length 3L belt.

Mount the MC-SCR MotoR
The MC-SCR motor can be mounted either to the top
or bottom of the table with lag screws. First, mark the
proper position for the motor’s bracket. Use
Figure 1
as a
guide for the positioning of the mounting holes (accurate
for Sailrite 111 sewing machines). If necessary, install the
drive belt first to help ensure proper motor position.
Measurements may vary depending on the sewing
machine and configuration. Check for a proper fit before
drilling. Using a 5/32" drill bit, drill about 3/8" into the
table.
Attach the motor to the motor bracket (
Figure 2
).
adjuSt the dRIve Belt
Slide the motor pulley onto the end of the motor and
tighten the set screw on to the shaft flat (
Figure 4
). Align
the pulley with the balance wheel belt groove and then
really tighten the screw down.

Then bolt the motor and bracket to the table
(
Figure 3
).
Set the table and machine upright and test fit for belt
length. The MC-SCR Power System comes with a 3L drive
belt which is adjustable in length (by removing links).
Insert the belt end through the holes in two layers and
then twist to lock in place (
Figure 5
). Tuck the loose ends
over the next V (knob). Flip the belt so the V's face in
(smooth surface facing out) and the belt is ready to use.
