Engine Compartment Inspection
I. Open Engine Hood
1. Pull the engine hood release handle (A) from the inside of
the vehicle.
2. Toggle the safety catch release handle (B) fitted on the
engine hood lock body in the arrow direction to release the
engine hood safety catch.
3. Raise the engine hood and reliably support it with the
support rod.
II. Inspection of Various Circuits and Pipelines in
Engine Compartment
1. Check that the fuse block, relay, wiring harness, etc. In the
engine compartment are free from looseness or
interference.
2. The high-voltage wire is wrapped by an orange insulating
sleeve. Make sure that it is in power-off state during
inspection (visual inspection is recommended).
3. There is no air leakage in the brake vacuum pipeline.
4. There is no oil leakage trace on the coolant pipe or braking,
fuel and air conditioning pipelines.
5. The coolant pipe, braking, fuel and air conditioning
pipelines, as well as the engine and brake vacuum
pipelines have no interference, and all kinds of clamps
and brackets are well fixed.
III. Coolant Level Inspection
1. Battery coolant level (1) is between "MAX" and "MIN".
2. Drive motor coolant level (4) is between "MAX" and "MIN".
3. If the level is too low, check for leaks first. And a special
tool will be recommended to use for pressure maintaining
test.
4. When it is confirmed that there is no leakage or spillage in
the cooling system, top up the coolant level to the
specified scale again (MAX mark is recommended).
IV. Inspection of Labels in Engine Compartment
1. Check that the warning and alarm labels of the cooling fan,
A/C refrigerant and coolant on the beam in the engine
compartment are intact and securely attached.
2. Check that the warning labels on the power electronic box
and high-voltage wire are intact and securely attached.
