SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

You must only use the mains unit supplied. Connect it to the mains following the instructions given below. As a precaution, in case of danger, the mains units act as cut-outs for the

110/220 V supply. They should be positioned near the appliance and be easily accessible.

Product label

There is an identification label under the appliance or on the rear panel. Read it, it gives you all the information on the mains voltage, current and frequency for which your appliance

was designed..

INSTALLATION

The appliance

Install the appliance indoors out of the sun and rain ; avoid extremes of temperature.

Use the appliance in an environment where the following conditions apply:

•  ambient temperature : between 0 °C [32°F] and 40 °C [104°F],

•  ambient humidity : between 20% and 90%,

•  altitude : 2000 metres [6562 ft] maximum.

Install the appliance and the mains unit, or the mains adapter, in a dry, well aired place. Protect them from moisture and dust.

Connect the appliance to the mains following the information on the label. Use only the mains lead supplied with the appliance. The use of a mains extension lead or multi socket

is not recommended.

Keep the appliance and the mains unit away, from sources of heat such as radiators or gas/electric heaters. Do not place incandescent objects such as candles on the appliance.

Do not place any object on the appliance (this would interfere with the ventilation): the vent slots in the casing are there to protect your appliance from overheating. Do not place

any object such as a piece of fabric or paper on these slots. If you place your appliance in a compartment, leave a minimum space of 10 cm on either side and 20 cm in front of and

from the mains and contact your retailer.

control. It tells you what type of batteries to buy and whether you can replace them yourself.

The batteries or rechargeable batteries (battery block or installed batteries) must not be exposed to excessive heat such as the sun, a fire or similar sources. It is recommended only
