Monitor Installation
Step 3 Mount video camera as per manufactures in-
structions. Route camera cables through equipment/
machine being careful not to come into contact with hot
machine parts, moving parts or sharp objects. Find a suit-
able opening through the cab. Try routing the cable along
side with other cables or hydraulic lines. If no holes or
access plates available. Drill a hole through the cab
slightly larger than the camera cable connector. Place a
rubber grommet inside the drill hole to protect the camera
cable.
Take notice you may not drill or modify the cab by some
manufactures warranty. Also take note that most cabs are
ROPS certified and may not allow holes drilled. Check with
the machine manufacture for permission to drill.
Step 4 Connect the male end of the camera cable to the
camera. Apply electrical sealant to the connectors if the
equipment is used in damp and or salt locations. (Grote
Ultra-seal or equivalent) Tighten by hand the locking ring
on the connector. Do not use pliers to tighten. Slide the
waterproof rubber boot over the connector
Step 5 Connect the wiring harness (shown below) to the
monitor cable. 7 pin male plug to the 7 pin monitor female
connector
