When activated, the three colored LEDs (green / orange / red) will light up briefly and the
device beeps. The green (POWER) LED will flash for 40 seconds. Later, the green LED
(POWER) on the front of the sensor should flash approximately every 40 seconds,
indicating device activity.
OPERATING THE DEVICE
Maintenance

Test the sensor at least once a
month.

Vacuum the sensor every 3
months.

Do not use cleaning agents or
solvents.

Do not paint the sensor.

Do not perform tests other than
as described in this manual.

Replace the sensor with a new
one after the service life of 10
years.
Device testing
In order to ensure the correct operation of the 2-in-1 SafeMi SHCS-10 sensor, the device
should be inspected regularly (at least once a month). To test the sensor, press the round
TEST button in the center of the housing. At this point, you should hear an alarm beep
pattern and the red ALARM LED will flash. During testing, the device beeps: 3 long beeps, a
1.5-second pause, then 4 shorter beeps, and again a 5-second pause.
Mute function - smoke detector only
The 2-in-1 SafeMi SHCS-10 sensor can react to various fumes, e.g. during cooking in
situations that do not require an alarm. In the event of a false alarm, you can temporarily
silence the device. After pressing the TEST button, the device will silence the alarm for 10
minutes and the red LED (ALARM) will flash. The sensor will automatically return to normal
operating mode after 10 minutes.
