This is a simplified troubleshooting guide that describes how to use Spectrum
Compact to diagnose & possibly solve few of the most common microwave
link problems.
Problem : too low RX level or no signal at all.
Possible causes : misconfigured radio(s), misaligned antennas, mismatching
polarizations, damaged or inoperable transmitter, damaged receiver**, no
Line of Sight.

Problem : RX level fluctuations*,
Possible causes : multipath, damaged transmitter, damaged receiver**, Line
of Sight problems.

Problem : good RX level but bad signal-to-noise ratio (MSE)/ bad constellation
diagram.
Possible causes : misconfigured radio(s), interference, damaged transmitter,
damaged receiver**

* it is advised to determine the time when the fluctuations happen and investigate at that
time of the day, week etc.
** suppose this only if all other fails, since this is not a direct Spectrum Analyzer
measurement, but a conclusion made as a result of indirect measurements.
